Pokémon Obsidian is a fan game of Pokémon done with RPG Maker XP and Pokémon SDK. It aims to have a similar experience as the Sapphire and Ruby versions on Game Boy Advance with modern mecanics, sounds and content.

Story

You are a young graduated journalist that is recruted to investigate on the Pokémon League. During your journey, you will travel the world with your devoted Rotom and will encounter new friends, allies and enemies.

The game is currently developped on my free time, just as an hobbie. It contains a lot of bugs, unfinished stuff and broken features. You will probably encounter some problems when testing it, including soft lock or save loss. You can report any issue on the tracker on GitHub.

Pokémon Obsidian supports a lot of features that can be found in the original games. As the game is currently in development, some of them may not be implemented or simply broken at the time.

Here are some notable features that I am planning for the game:

• Game Boy Advance like graphics
• A completely new region
• Mature and modern story in the style of Pokémon
• Mutiple quests (main and optional)
• All Pokémon from generation 1 to 3 (at least)
• A more balanced difficulty (harder that the original games)
• Full day and night system
• Modern sounds
• Multiple languages (English and French)
• And many more!

The game is currenty in a early-release state. The last playable version is V0.1. Here are the last major additions that you can find in the game:

• Main quest fully playable till the first gym
• A few side quests (a lot of them are not finishable)
• 3 complete cities
• All available environments are complete (trainers, Pokémon, berries...)
• No known major blocker

Note that your save may be incompatible between versions of the game.
